The Coonawarra Units (formally known as Chardonnay Lodge) are located in the heart of the Coonawarra Vineyards, next to Chardonnay Lodge, Restaurant, wine sales and function centre which is open from 11 am daily for casual dining. The Accommodation is central to 20 winery cellar door sales outlets, and 8 km from historic Penola restaurants and shops. Coonawarra Units are a short walk from Zema Wines, DiGiorgio Family Wines, Wynns Coonawarra Estate, Brands Laira and Redman wines & Cellar Doors. The units are 50 km north of Mount Gambier.

Laid out in Row Cottage style around extensive lawns and gardens, the units offer a range of accommodation options and rates with all being on ground floor. Guests receive light breakfast supplies (included in the tarrif), upon arrival and have access to free on-site parking. The units are often enjoyed by families and as a meeting place for friends and special interest group. The spacious air-conditioned units all have very modern bathrooms and a kitchenette with microwave, fridge and electric kettle.
