Very good tour, not sure of our guide's name, Dave (?) I believe. A little heavy on the narrative at the beginning but it turned out to be helpful - once we hit streets with the various names of historical figures, we knew who they were and how they fit into Melbourne's history. Really enjoyed Hosier Lane, AC/DC Lane, the various alleyways, and the arcades. Very good tour.

It was a great decision to book this tour on our very first day in Melbourne as it gave us a quick, yet extensive, overview of the city. Cris was a fantastic guide whose passion for the city shone through his stories that ranged from historical (melbourne’s batman is NOT a comic book character) and personal (living with artists in Majorica building). We had a great taste of Melbourne’s unpredictable weather with a heavy shower as the tour is ending, but Cris was able to navigate with ease and offered other options to end the day. Overall, this tour is a great choice for such an affordable price. Highly recommended!

We really enjoyed taking the tour and having Chris show us downtown Melbourne. He has an easy and entertaining style and we enjoyed the experience greatly. Our group was small and I think that was key to the tour's success. The area is diverse and fascinating and the walk can be handled by any reasonably fit senior.

We joined the walking tour with Erica in Federation Square and from there toured the waterfront, laneways arcades and streets of CBD. Erica was passionate and knowledgeable about Melbourne and having a small group of 8 allowed us to ask questions. Thoroughly enjoyable intro to Melbourne. Highly recommend.

Fantastic tour with Chris on a lovely Melbourne day. There is little Chris doesn't know about the city's rich history and any other Melbourne-related topic. This tour is perfect for all ages and fitness levels. We brought our one-year-old son who seemed to enjoy Chris' dulcet tones as much as we did. There is something for everyone with the walk along the Yarra and a stroll around the narrow laneways of the city. If you are very particular about your walking tours - Melbourne by Foot is the tour for you.

I am so grateful I booked this tour on my first day in Melbourne. Chris was an amazing guide, and made sure we were comfortable the entire time, even though it was pouring rain for a bit! I learned an incredible amount in a short time, thanks to Chris's knowledge and willingness to answer any questions. Highly recommend!

Chris presented a mix of history, location, and art which I would have missed had I done it alone. Guide books don't give the same depth of information and can't answer your questions which are natural when you visit an unfamiliar city; Chris' tour helps you understand how the past looked and gave you views of the present. I think it's the real history, often hidden from visitor and local alike, that brings out the real city. Thanks Chris!

Thanks Chris, we really found the three hours really informative, we loved the focus on history and was a great way to familiarise ourselves on our first day in town. We finished our day with cocktails at Lucy Lui and dinner at Chin Chin.

Interesting history of Melbourne, with its early jails, old shopping arcades still bustling with shops and restaurants, the colorful grafiti walls and the incredible skyscrapers.
